Norberg Sounds
In my folkdrone project Nattavaara Rocks I compose music that in some sense or another revolves around drone, folk and/or ambient. But since composition for me is an intuitive process that I don’t have full control over, a piece that was initially meant to be a folkdrone song might end up as an instrumental pop song. Nothing wrong with that, most often, those songs themselves are quite good, but maybe not very suitable for my Nattavaara Rocks project. For that purpose I have Norberg Sounds, a library of instrumental ”orphan songs” well suited for use in games, films and other narrative-oriented work.
Since the offer – music for moving images – is not very complex, I designed Norberg Sounds without any sub-pages, links or menus. Instead, the website is divided into three musical categories; Ambient, Pop / Folk and Darker pieces, all with their own individual color. Videos separates the different categories and at the same time show the potential of the music in combination with moving images. A jQuery-based responsive player handles music and short texts provides the background for each piece.
Hikki - website
Distinctive typography set in Futura and irregular horizontal lines reflect the meeting between nature and design that Hikkis products are known for.
Ox Choral
The third album with my one-man folk drone orchestra Nattavaara Rocks. A digital album in physical form, or an album for the 21st century, if you will.
Affärsliv24
In the autumn of 2015 Västerbottens-Kuriren launched their business news website Affärsliv24. I was asked to develop a logo, guidelines for typography, color schemes, icons and layout.

My name is Andreas Norberg and I work as a freelance graphic designer and web designer. I’m based in Umeå, a small university town in the north of Sweden.
I offer visual design and technical production of responsive websites, logos, visual identities, ads, catalogues, product sheets, packaging solutions etc. My goal is to always make simple, straightforward and functional design in accordance with the client's vision and needs.
