Elin Magnusson works with video and performance in her artistic practice, which revolves around themes of sexuality, norms, body and spatiality in works in where nature and culture intersect. With her work Skin she was one of the directors of the controversial feminist porn project Dirty Diaries, and in 2013 she completed her work Act on Instinct, part of a larger project on voluntary childlessness, which was shown during the Moscow Biennale at the State Darwin Museum.
The intention was that the design would be as invisible as possible and thus provide a neutral place for art. A lot of white space, discrete typography and bright blue as link color constitute that invisibility. A book is, despite all the digital innovations, unmatched when it comes to accessibility and simplicity. In addition, it lacks batteries.
Logo for printing and embossing and a responsive website with focus on large product images package Annova H & B.
If you come across a rare piece of dyed raw black cardboard, it’s difficult to resist the impulse to emboss it. So I turned it into business cards.
A website without any links, menus or subpages contains the content: music suited for moving images, composed by me.
Linoleum printing is one of the easiest and cheapest graphical techniques. With a little patience, a sharp knife and a paint roller one can achieve great things.
Retina screens and OLED technology and E-ink. Fine and good and superduper. But you haven’t lived until you have embossed a leather journal using movable type.
